Jaderic Dawson

Jaderic Dawson, 24, of Dayton, Ohio, is a graduate engineering student who works at the Center of Excellence in Micro Air Vehicle Research. Dawson is attempting to develop mechanical wings capable of flapping in multiple degrees of freedom. “We’re trying to closely mimic the insects and exactly how they do their flight,” Dawson said. “Micro air vehicles could help our soldiers in urban areas, help with search and rescue, and ultimately save lives.”
