Engineering and Computer Sciences professor a finalist for the Franz Edelman Award

Biomedical, Industrial and Human Factors Engineering Associate Professor Xinhui Zhang, Ph.D., has been selected as a finalist for the 2013 Franz Edelman Award. The purpose of the Franz Edelman competition is to bring forward, recognize and reward outstanding examples of operations research, management science and advanced analytics currently in practice with $15,000 awards. First prize is accompanied by a $10,000 honorarium.

Zhang, who instructs and conducts research in the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences, has been invited to attend the Franz Edelman Award competition and Gala during the INFORMS Conference on Business Analytics and Operations Research in San Antonio, TX next April.
