Wright State director presents at career development conference

Charlene Walker, associate director of Career Services, presented “How and Why to Get the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Credential” at the April 26 conference of the Ohio Career Development Association in Cleveland, OH.  Professional human services providers, had the opportunity to learn details about the GCDF credential including training topics, hours required to earn and maintain the credential, costs, and course delivery styles.

Charlene also presented at the spring Ohio Association for Employment in Education conference in Columbus, OH.  She led career services professionals through a motivated skills card sort and discussed strategies for using a card sort to help clients identify, clarify, and broaden or narrow career options as they begin to develop their job search tools and implement their job search plan.
