Wright State Physicians Family Medicine offers educational session about self and others

brain1As part of the “Brain Matters” educational series, Wright State Physicians Family Medicine will host a session about self and others. The series focuses on building resilience and well-being. Most people can further develop their mental health and enjoy gains in their quality of life.

The series is free and open to the public. The session, “Self and Others,” will be held Thursday, June 9, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in classroom 1 on the second floor of the Wright State Physicians Health Center on the Wright State University campus.

The speaker is Paul Hershberger, Ph.D., a clinical health psychologist. He is a professor of family medicine and director of behavioral science for the Family Medicine Residency Program at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. His clinical practice includes psychotherapy, consultation and coaching.

Hershberger will lead a discussion, addressing own versus others’ perspectives, mindreading, listening skills, empathy, emotional intelligence and relationships and health.
