This fund was established in 1987 to support the College of Engineering and Computer Science as a whole.
Engineering & Computer Science Scholarship
The College of Engineering & Computer Science Scholarship was started in 1987 out of Campus Scholarship Campaign payroll deductions. The scholarship is awarded by the CECS scholarship committee and given annually.
Engineering Student Success Initiatives
The ESSI Fund money is directed to operating activities (including equipment and supplies), scholarship, promote recruiting, and retention of CECS students.
Deposit donations to use on MakeITWright events, to be held annually.
ACM Student Chapter Program Fund
Support promotion and activities associated with the Wright State Student Chapter of ACM
BAJA SAE Student Design Team
To fund supplies, materials, equipment and travel expenses associated with designing, building & competing in BAJA SAE.
Bio-Engineering Research Fund
This fund supports research-related activities, lab equipment and supplies, conference fees and travel, pre-proposal activities, books and texts, student stipends, etc.
Biomedical & Human Factors Engineering Program Fund
This fund supports the areas of greatest needs in Biomedical and Human Factors Engineering Program.
Boffin Factory Fund
This fund supports Boffin Factory, which is an extracurricular learning outlet to develop self-directed life-long learning among CECS students.
Brandeberry Career Development Center
CECS Student Clubs and Organizations
This fund is used to support the activities of student clubs and organizations in the College of Engineering and Computer Science
CECS Student Emergency Fund
This fund will be used to provide for unforeseen emergency expenses for undergraduate students in CECS who demonstrate financial need.
Collegiate eSports Club
Funds to support club game nights, competitions, and other eSports activities.
Computer Science Program Fund
This fund was established in 1982 to support the Computer Science Program.
Cyber Competition Fund
Cyber security outreach and awareness
Electrical Engineering Program Fund
This fund was established to advance educational initiatives within Electrical Engineering at Wright State.
This fund supports the current Masters in Engineering Innovation & Entrepreneurship Program, and other CECS activities related to entrepreneurship. This includes program support, support for internships, recruitment, attendance at conferences for students and/or faculty (including fees and travel), and other related activities.
Engineering Equipment Fund
This fund supports the purchasing of equipment for the Russ and Joshi buildings.
Engineering STEM Projects & Outreach
General support for student activities to include, but not limited to, design competitions, K-12 outreach, and special projects
Engineering Study Abroad
Support for Engineering study abroad, Jena, Germany and future Engineering-centric outgoing study abroad options, for both Main and Lake Campus students

Pogoda Family Fellowship
To support the undergraduate research enterprise of students in the CECS. The fund will primarily focus on the provision of research fellowship to support undergraduate students in the CECS (to include, but not be limited to, work in an on- or off-campus laboratory, internship, field experience, undergrad research, etc.). Annual award recipients will be called Pogoda Family Fellows.
Renewable and Clean Energy Fund
This fund supports the program, operational, and possible future scholarship support for CECS activities in Clean and Renewable Energy.
Russ Engineering Excellence Fund
This fund provides unrestricted support for the College of Engineering and Computer Science as determined by the Dean of the College.
Shashaanka Ashili Intl Grad Student Research Fund
To help provide support for international graduate students in electrical engineering participating in unfunded research activities and for their travel to research related conferences and symposia.
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers
To promote activities, outreach and professional development for and by the local SHPE chapter

Anthony J. Cacioppo PhD Memorial Scholarship
The Cacioppo Endowed Scholarship was established in 1996 in honor and memory of Anthony J. Cacioppo, Ph.D., former chair of the Wright State Department of Biomedical and Human Factors Engineering, who passed away in 1996. Dr. Cacioppo came to Wright State with an impressive record of accomplishment including being chief scientist of Foreign Technology at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. As a visiting professor in 1986, Dr. Cacioppo developed the Human Factors Engineering Program. His efforts in the program resulted in obtaining ABET accreditation in 1994. He received the ‘87-‘88 Teaching Excellence Award from the CECS, and became Department Chair in 1991, continuing to teach seven courses each year. The purpose is to provide scholarships for students majoring in Human Factors Engineering.
Biomedical Engineering Scholarship
The Biomedical Engineering Scholarship was started in 1985 out of Campus Scholarship Campaign payroll deductions. The Scholarship is awarded by the Biomedical Engineering Program and given annually to students majoring in Biomedical Engineering.
Cary Michael Jokela Memorial Scholarship
Cary Michael Jokela grew up in Twinsburg, Ohio, where he graduated from Chamberlin High School. Cary entered Wright State in the fall of 1995 with a dream of becoming a biomedical engineer. He was active in Wright Engineering Council and intramural soccer. His too-short life is remembered but his friends for its vitality; he was always in search of fun and excitement. He was never known to be in a bad mood. The establishment of this scholarship in his honor and memory was made by Gregory Bartell, a close friend and Wright State student himself. It is a tribute and living memorial to Cary. Its purpose is to encourage promising young people to pursue an education within CECS and provide financial aid to make that possible.

CECS Internship Scholarship
To provide scholarship funds to students completing an internship within the College of Engineering and Computer Science.
Chingfa Jang Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is in memory of Chingfa Jang. Mr. Jang inspired and supported his six children to pursue higher education. All six of his children are first generation college graduates, and three have advanced degrees. The scholarship provides financial support for academically qualified students who exhibit financial need in CECS. Preference is given to first generation students.
Computer Engineering Scholarship
The Computer Engineering Scholarship was started in 1986 out of Campus Scholarship Campaign payroll deductions. The Scholarship is awarded by Computer Engineering faculty and given annually to students majoring in Computer Engineering.
Computer Science Endowed Scholarship
Students entering or enrolled in the College of Engineering & Computer Science and a Computer Science major.
Computer Science Scholarship
The Computer Science Scholarship was started in 1984 out of Campus Scholarship Campaign payroll deductions. The Scholarship is awarded by Computer Engineering faculty and given annually to students majoring in Computer Engineering.
Dr Ben S Graham Scholarship
This scholarship provides financial support annually for academically qualified students in CECS. First preference is given to an Industrial and Systems Engineering Major with a focus in Human Integrated Systems.
Dr. Prabhaker Mateti Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for eligible computer science and engineering students as determined by department. Amount based on funds donated.
Duval Family Scholarship
This scholarship is for incoming students with a minimum high school gpa of 3.0 in any Engineering major and is renewable until graduation. Recipient must maintain a gpa of 3.0 while as a Wright State student.
Electrical Engineering Scholarship
The Electrical Engineering Scholarship was started in 1985 out of Campus Scholarship Campaign payroll deductions. The Scholarship is awarded by Electrical Engineering faculty and given annually to students majoring in Electrical Engineering.

Recipients must be a continuing student in Electrical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have financial need.
Human Factors Scholarship
The Human Factors Scholarship was started in 1985 out of Campus Scholarship Campaign payroll deductions and was agreed upon by the Human Factors Society in Spring Quarter of 1993. The scholarship is awarded to those who are active members of the Human Factors Society.
IEEE Dayton Scholarship
The IEEE Dayton Scholarship was created in 2006 and is awarded as funds allow to those majoring in Electrical Engineering.
James & Sharon Brandeberry Endowed Scholarship
Dean Emeritus James Brandeberry joined Wright State in 1969, two years after it became an independent state university. Before he retired in 2005, Dr. Brandeberry directed his efforts toward building outstanding programs in engineering and computer science for the Dayton metropolitan area, making education his top priority. Considered by many as the Godfather of CECS, the vision of excellence that Dr. Brandeberry promoted throughout his career will continue to grow and influence engineering and computer science education, not only in the Miami Valley, but the state of Ohio.
Jeffrey and Georgeann Taylor Scholarship Fund
Established to provide schoalrships to students in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Preference will be given to students majoring in Industrial Systems Engineering.
Lakshmi and Ramana Grandhi Merit Scholarship
Scholarship to fund incoming Mechanical Engineering students.
Material Science & Engineering Scholarship
The Materials Science and Engineering Scholarship was started in 1978 out of Campus Scholarship Campaign payroll deductions. The Scholarship is awarded by Mechanical and Materials Engineering faculty and given annually to students majoring in Material Engineering. The scholarship was also born out of an agreement with GE Aviation and Braun Engineering Co.
Mechanical Engineering Scholarship
The Mechanical Engineering Scholarship was started in 1985 out of Campus Scholarship Campaign payroll deductions. The Scholarship is awarded by Mechanical Engineering faculty and given annually to students majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
Metallurgical Solutions Scholarship
This scholarship was started in 2008 by Brian Joyce, a graduate degree holder from Wright State’s College of Engineering and Computer Science. Brian strongly benefitted from the DAGSI scholarship and, because of this positive influence, felt he should give to future students as well. Brian and Gail actively attend Wright State events and enjoy meeting their recipients annually. First preference is given to a student majoring in materials science and engineering.

This fund supports electrical engineering majors.

Robert Dixon Scholarship Fund
John and Kathleen Sloan established this endowed scholarship in 2011 to honor and recognize Dr. Robert Dixon’s influence on their personal and professional lives. John credits much of his accomplishments over the last few decades based on the guidance provided by his former professor. This scholarship will start being awarded in 2014 to an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering.
Roger Glaser PhD Research Scholarship-Engineering
This fund was established to give financial encouragement to current and future researchers to engage in research activities. Recipients must be enrolled in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, demonstrate a genuine interest in research, publish articles and first preference will be given to research projects relating to rehabilitation, second preference given to those involved in research concerning the disabled
