Applying Scientific Knowledge Program - External
Funds will support undergraduate research program.
COSM Entrepreneurship/Innovation Fund
Support CoSM initiatives and activities. Could include, but are not limited to, costs associated with student competitions, speaker series, conference attendance, faculty release time for course creation.
CoSM Internships & Co-Ops
To support CoSM Internships & Co-ops. Sample uses of funds may include, but are not limited to: financial support to students to participate in internships & co-ops, career and professional development programming for students related to internships & co-ops, student activities linked to internships & co-ops, administrative or infrastructure needs of CoSM linked to internships & co-ops.
CoSM Student Relief Fund
The College of Science & Mathematics (CoSM) Emergency Fund can provide one time funding for CoSM students who have a sudden emergency that results in a disruption in their education.
Science & Math Scholarship
This fund was established originally by Dr. Donald Adams, Dr. Charles Carraher, and Dr. Brian Hutchings to provide scholarships for students pursuing a degree in science and mathematics.
Women in Science Giving Circle
The Women in Science Giving Circle, founded by Dr. Wheatly, is a philanthropic program in which donors pool their money to create opportunities that help to enhance the educational and professional success of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine (STEMM) disciplines at Wright State University.

Heraeus Epurio LLC Chemistry Program Fund
For funding outreach and experiential learning opportunities for current and future chemistry students
Math & Statistics Experiential Learning Fund
To support experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate students in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics.
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Biochemistry Program Fund
This fund was established to support the functions and purposes of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
The Robert A. Weisman Graduate Student Achievement Award
This fund will support an annual award in the Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB). The award will recognize the productivity and quality of a 4th year BMS Ph.D. program student working in BMB beyond that of their student peers in the program. The recipient will use funding from the award to attend a scientific meeting. Student nominees for the award (self or other nominated) will be reviewed by a selection committee for the award comprised of BMB faculty teaching in the BMS PhD program. If no recipient is named, no award will be made and available funds will be distributed in the future.

This fund was established to support the functions and purposes of the Department of Biological Sciences.
Biological Sciences Scholarship
This program was established to fund scholarships for students majoring in Biological Sciences programs.
Biomedical Research Training for Undergrads
Funds to conduct, present, and publish research generated through experiential learning in fertility and regeneration courses (e.g. BIO3140), and continued as independent projects under the guidance of Dr. Labib Rouhana. Restrictions: Not to be used for salaries.
Dale Alan True Experiential Learning in Biology Fund
To support biology students with activities outside the classroom including but not limited to: extended research placements in both on and off campus facilities; stipends; travel expenses; registration fees; conference attendance; research expenses; and support accompanying unpaid internship experiences, field experiences, and academic based travel.
John D. & Helen V. Rossmiller Scholarship
John and Helen Rossmiller established this fund to provide scholarships to aid and encourage scholarly activity by undergraduate students in the Biological Sciences program.

Plant Ecology Research Fund

To assist students interested in studying chemistry via experiential opportunities provided by CoSM.

Funds will be used to purchase new equipment and repair existing equipment used by students in the classrooom and for undergraduate and graduate research.

Gordon B. Skinner Scholarship
To support the full cost of tuition for a student enrolled in the College of Science and Mathematics and majoring in Chemistry

This fund was established in memory of David J. Karl to provide scholarships for students majoring in Chemistry.

C-SEMP - College Sudent Engagement Mentoring Program
Provide funds for outreach activities to connect mentors with student mentees to encourage engagement in activities of the College of Science and Mathematics.
Considine Scholars Program Fund
Established for the purpose of initiating the Considine Scholars within CoSM. Annual donations will provide spendable funds for the CoSM dean to distribute. In the future, an endowment established by a realized planned gift from Michael & Susan Considine, will annually distribute funds to the Considine Scholars Program Fund.
CoSM First-year Student Recruitment Fund
To fund scholarship awards to recruit direct admit first-year students to CoSM. This scholarship can be combined with other awards for recruitment purposes.
Emil and Jean Kmetec Science and Music Scholarship
To provide financial assistance to students in COSM who share a love for music performance and demonstrate an increased proficiency in music development.
Frieda Horn Peters Math and Science Mentoring Scholarship
This fund was established in memory of Frieda Horn Peters to fund scholarship assistance for students majoring a mathematics or science program and actively mentoring younger students.
Howard E. Bales Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship established in memory of Howard E. Bales to provide scholarships to students pursuing majors within the College of Science and Mathematics.
Musgrove Endowed Fund for Experiential Learning in Conservation and Wildlife Sciences
To support scholarship and experiential learning on or off campus including but not limited to professional meetings and conference attendance, research expenses, field courses, internships and academic-based travel.
Neil Acharya Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established in memory of Neil Acharya to provide scholarships for students enrolled in the pre-med program.

Robert G. Chollar Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Robert G. Chollar to provide scholarship assistance to undergraduate students who graduated from a Miami Valley high school and are pursuing a degree in the College of Science and Mathematics.

Women in STEMM Leadership Institute Mentoring Program
To support career and professional development of mentees, support programmatic and community-building activities for the mentoring program, and cover expenses associated with mentoring program events. Sample uses of funds may include, but are not limited to: purchase of career/professsional development resources for mentees and mentors to meet with distinguished STEMM speakers, and publicizing mentoring program events or activities to Wright State STEMM and local STEMM professionals.

CoSM's Dean designee on the planning team for the WSU Women in STEMM Leadership Institute.

This scholarship was established to provide support for graduate student(s) in 3D immersive visualization.
Benjamin H. Richard Memorial Field Experience Fund
Provides annual spendable funding to support students majoring in the Dept. of EES to participate in field experiences. Sample uses can include, but are not limited to, field courses, the collection of seismic data via field campaigns, training or educational sessions pertaining to students successfully completing field coursework or processing seismic data collected in field campaigns and, the presentation of fieldwork-based posters for papers at professional conferences.

This scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Merrill Andrews to fund scholarships for students majoring in Physics.
Gust and Elli Bambakidis Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of Gust Bambakidis to provide scholarships to students majoring in Physics.
Harvey M. Hanson Memorial Physics Learning Assistant Fund
The Physics Learning Assistant Program will annually employ a team of top undergraduate students who have successfully completed the PHY 2400 and or/PHY 2410 (or its current equivalent) introductory courses. Funds will be used to hire students as Physics Learning Assistants who will be trained with faculty to serve as Learning Assistants in the course sequence. Upon being hired, Learning Assistants will be required to successfully complete duties associated with the position. Ideally, the department will have a Learning Assistant for every 18-24 students in the sequence.
Jerry Clark Senior Project Award
Annual scholarship to a Physics student who completed their senior project. Scholarship honors Dr. Jerry Clark, Professor of Physics.

Funds may be used to purchase or reimburse students for project expenses. These include, but are not limited to, office supplies, books, journals, library copy fees, and other resources. Funds may also be used for travel expenses, professional conference attendance to support the project directly, and professional dev activities for grad students.
