{"id":101092,"date":"2021-02-10T09:12:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-10T14:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=101092"},"modified":"2022-09-28T09:14:57","modified_gmt":"2022-09-28T13:14:57","slug":"model-un-wins-awards-at-dayton-model-united-nations-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2021\/02\/10\/model-un-wins-awards-at-dayton-model-united-nations-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Model UN wins awards at Dayton Model United Nations Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wright State University&#8217;s Model UN team won 11 awards at the 28th annual Dayton Model United Nations Conference (DAYMUNC), hosted by Sinclair Community College on Feb. 5\u20136.<\/p>\n<p>DAYMUNC is a two-day intercollegiate learning conference during which students from local universities step into the shoes of diplomats of various countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s excellent training. You have to develop research and writing skills, you learn public speaking skills,&#8221; said Zachary Janow, a senior majoring in political science.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s DAYMUNC was held virtually, with half of Wright State\u2019s team members gathered in the Student Success Center.
