Ortiz, Latino community liaison for Wright State University<\/em>, \t\t\t\tsaid he will keep the governor informed of all issues affecting \t\t\t\tLatinos, and efforts to create jobs around the state for Latinos \t\t\t\tand all Ohioans.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a nice honor,\u201d Ortiz said \u201cI like helping people so \t\t\t\tbasically it\u2019s a position to better help people.\u201d<\/p>\n Ortiz, originally from Lorain and studied at Bowling Green \t\t\t\tState University<\/em>, said his main goal as commissioner will be \t\t\t\tto connect as many people with many resources.<\/p>\n The top issues he will address are education and jobs, then \t\t\t\thealth care, he said. Ortiz has been a teacher for 35 years, \t\t\t\tincluding teaching at Wright State.
