After more than a year of taking courses largely online, students streamed back to Wright State University for in-person classes on the first day of Fall Semester.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverybody seems very happy to be here,\u201d said Chris Taylor, dean of students. \u201cThe place is pretty energetic. We had a ton of students turn out for indoor and outdoor activities over the weekend. I think everybody enjoyed them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Isaac Smith, a senior majoring in organizational leadership, was handing out campus maps and helping new students find their way to class. \u201cThe campus atmosphere is here again,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s great.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fall enrollments across the Dayton and Lake campuses have been tracking as expected.<\/p>\n
Taylor said the return to in-person classes likely helped with enrollments. \u201cAnd Admissions has done a really phenomenal job,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s a lot of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brooklyn Toledo, a sophomore marketing major, was studying at the ReyRey Caf\u00e9 in Rike Hall, home to the Raj Soin College of Business.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s exciting because we\u2019re finally being back in person, back to our classes,\u201d said Toledo, adding that she was also looking forward to all of the campus activities.<\/p>\n
