The flight demonstrated that the Wright brothers had advanced their design to the point of a practical airplane.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The event featured displays highlighting innovative projects from Wright State researchers and local organizations. University Library\u2019s Special Collections and Archives, which houses one of the most complete collections of Wright material in the world, displayed an exhibit that tested participants\u2019 knowledge of the Wright brothers and the invention of powered flight.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cThis is really just a great event for students to be engaged, be a little inspired by a lot of great innovators in the area,\u201d said Andrew Smith, a senior marketing major and president of<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Wright State University\u2019s American Marketing Association.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>This was the 10th year Wright State has celebrated Wright Brothers Day.
