{"id":114077,"date":"2021-10-12T09:00:26","date_gmt":"2021-10-12T13:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=114077"},"modified":"2024-01-04T14:34:48","modified_gmt":"2024-01-04T19:34:48","slug":"dbj-wright-state-sinclair-sign-articulation-agreements-for-25-new-degree-pathways","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2021\/10\/12\/dbj-wright-state-sinclair-sign-articulation-agreements-for-25-new-degree-pathways\/","title":{"rendered":"Dayton Business Journal: Wright State, Sinclair sign articulation agreements for 25 new degree pathways"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Excerpt<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_101899\" style=\"width: 470px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-101899\" class=\"size-large wp-image-101899\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2021\/02\/Screen-Shot-2021-02-26-at-8.37.04-AM-508x290.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"263\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-101899\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Wright State University&#8217;s Dayton Campus<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx meterwall__content\">Two of Dayton&#8217;s largest colleges are expanding their transfer agreement by launching dozens of new pathways for students to earn bachelor&#8217;s degrees.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx meterwall__content\">Between Aug. 1 and Sept. 15, Sinclair Community College and Wright State University signed 25 new articulation agreements for the &#8220;Wright Path&#8221; program \u2014 a transfer arrangement that enables students to pursue a bachelor&#8217;s degree at Wright State after earning an associate&#8217;s degree at Sinclair.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx meterwall__content\">The expanded partnership opens up new bachelor&#8217;s degree pathways in the following fields:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"content__segment combx meterwall__content\">\n<li>Biological sciences<\/li>\n<li>Computer engineering<\/li>\n<li>Crime and justice studies<\/li>\n<li>Geography<\/li>\n<li>Information technology and cybersecurity<\/li>\n<li>Organizational leadership<\/li>\n<li>Psychology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx meterwall__content\">Wright Path is a &#8220;2+2&#8221; program \u2014 a common type of academic partnership that allows students to attend a community college for two years, then transfer to another college or university for two more years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx meterwall__content\">The partnership is designed to provide &#8220;seamless student movement&#8221; between the institutions by eliminating barriers, promoting student success, utilizing shared resources and expanding student housing options for Sinclair students.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx meterwall__content\">Since its establishment, Sinclair and Wright State have signed more than 60 articulation agreements through Wright Path.
