{"id":115855,"date":"2021-11-18T13:11:36","date_gmt":"2021-11-18T18:11:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=115855"},"modified":"2021-11-18T13:11:36","modified_gmt":"2021-11-18T18:11:36","slug":"caring-crafters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2021\/11\/18\/caring-crafters\/","title":{"rendered":"Caring crafters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the 10th year, Wright State University students, faculty and staff made \u201cCards for Kids\u201d for patients at Dayton Children\u2019s Hospital on Nov. 16 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.wright.edu\/erc\/\">Educational Resource Center<\/a> in Dunbar Library.<\/p>\n<p>Dozens of volunteers made 140 hand-designed cards during the three-hour event, which was sponsored by the Dean&#8217;s Student Advisory Board in the <a href=\"https:\/\/health-education-human-services.wright.edu\/\">College of Health, Education, and Human Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to make cards because we thought it was important for the kids just to have a smile on their face,\u201d said Tiffany Snider, a senior majoring in elementary education.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers estimate that thousands of cards have been donated to Dayton Children\u2019s Hospital over the past 10 years.
