Wright State Educators Rising members are collecting new toys for Christmas for Kids, a fundraiser organized by For Love of Children (FLOC).<\/p>\n
New toys can be donated at the Office of Partnerships and Field Experiences located at 378 Allyn Hall until Dec.10. All donors will be entered into a raffle to win a pizza gift card.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just really special because we can still touch children\u2019s lives without being in the classroom,\u201d said Samantha Fadely, a sophomore early childhood education major and Educators Rising member. \u201cI really want to see children wake up and be super excited just like we all were at Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n
Over the last month, students posted flyers around Allyn Hall and set up tables to collect toys to bring joy to children during the holiday season.<\/p>\n
A 100% volunteer agency, FLOC serves over 6,000 children in the Greater Dayton area who are neglected, abused, in foster care or in need of community resources.<\/p>\n
