More than 400 future students and their families registered to learn more about Wright State University, explore majors and programs, and tour the Dayton Campus during Raider Open House on Jan. 29, in the Student Union.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so nice to see all of our families on campus,\u201d said Jen McCamis, director of undergraduate admissions.<\/p>\n
Raider Open House\u00a0allowed future undergraduate students, including transfer students, and their families an opportunity to meet with faculty, staff and students and learn about its 160 academic programs, including the University Honors program.<\/p>\n
Future students explored Raider life, toured campus, visited interactive classrooms, walked through the tunnels and checked out Wright State\u2019s affordable and spacious student housing.<\/p>\n
\u201cI heard about the tunnels, and I want to see them,\u201d said Savannah Stachler, a junior at Teays Valley High School who attended the open house.<\/p>\n
Participants received help with their application to Wright State and learned more about paying for college, the financial aid process and how to transfer credits.<\/p>\n
Attendees also learned about the Wright Tuition Guarantee Program, which enables students and families to more confidently plan their finances and provides an incentive for graduating on time. The Wright Tuition Guarantee Program locks in the same annual cost of tuition, housing and dining over a four-year college career for newly admitted, degree-seeking undergraduate students who are Ohio residents.<\/p>\n
