\"\"A growing tech firm is partnering with one of the largest local universities.<\/p>\n

Wright State University is teaming up with Infinity Labs \u2014 a Dayton-based research and development company that provides national security solutions \u2014 as part of a downtown Dayton research center. The partnership will provide critical experience for students and boost economic development in the region.<\/p>\n

The project aims to act as a catalyst for job creation through partnerships with fiscal agent, initial recipient of funds and foundational partner, Wright State. Other partners will include community\/academic stakeholders and public entities. It also would support new business acceleration through co-working and mentoring opportunities for regionally underserved and\/or communities that are negatively impacted economically.<\/p>\n

Infinity Labs began in 2020 with seven local founders, several of whom graduated from Wright State. Collectively, they have expertise in system-of-systems modeling, simulation and analysis and cybersecurity.<\/p>\n

CEO\u00a0Ken Edge\u00a0has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Wright State. He said Wright State’s leadership understands the value to the local community of building a strong partnership with his organization.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to partner with Wright State in building a R&D center of excellence in downtown Dayton that will enable recruiting, developing and retaining future talent to the region,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Chief Strategy Officer\u00a0Jason Molnar\u00a0said the partnership is about shared ideals, building the future for Dayton with organic academic and industry cooperation and retaining Ohio talent. He said WSU President\u00a0Sue Edwards\u00a0and her team will help build the cooperative innovative ecosystem that Dayton deserves.<\/p>\n

COO\u00a0Jason Kirby\u00a0graduated from Wright State with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, while Chief Product Officer\u00a0Kurt Glendenning\u00a0graduated from Wright State with his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.<\/p>\n

Four months after opening, Infinity Labs was selected by the Air Force as a prime contractor for a $950 million contract for the advanced battle management system, the service\u2019s primary acquisition for a next-generation command and control system. The company has received prime contracts with several other Department of Defense organizations and holds 13 small business innovation research and small business technology transfer prime contracts, according to a press release.<\/p>\n

Infinity Labs currently has 38 employees and projects to have 100 employees by the end of the year. Annual median salary exceeds $90,000. The company had revenue of $5 million in 2021 and anticipates $20 million in revenue this year, according to a release.<\/p>\n
