The college contains the College of Nursing and Health, School of Professional Psychology and the Department of Social Work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"story-nativo_placeholder--moap b-clear-both\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">But Wright State is still looking to fill its provost position, after more than two years of working with interim provosts. Current university President Sue Edwards was the previous permanent provost and was promoted to president in January 2020. The university began its search for a new provost last fall.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"story-nativo_placeholder--moap b-clear-both\">\n<div id=\"attachment_119335\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2022\/02\/18\/james-denniston-of-appalachian-state-appointed-founding-dean-of-wright-states-college-of-health-education-and-human-services\/denniston_james-13\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-119335\" class=\"wp-image-119335 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2022\/02\/denniston_james-13-200x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-119335\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">James Denniston is the first dean of the new College of Health, Education and Human Services.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The university appointed Oliver H. Evans, the current interim provost, last February. Previously, Douglas Leaman served as the interim provost beginning in December 2019. He left Wright State in February 2021 for a new job as the dean of the College of Sciences at Auburn University at Montgomery.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The university is also looking to fill the positions of dean of the college of science and mathematics, and dean of the college of liberal arts, where current dean Linda Caron will be retiring in May.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"story-text\" data-index=\"3\">Faber formerly taught mathematics at the Lake Campus until 2014, when she moved on to Rhodes State, Wright State officials said. She is an active member of the Mercer County community, serving as a founding member of the Women in Leadership Luncheon Series-Mercer County; advisory board member and treasurer of Immaculate Conception School; and past member of the Mercer County Central Committee, Mercer Residential Services board, and the Mercer\/Auglaize YMCA board.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-text\" data-index=\"8\">WSU officials said Faber\u2019s strength as a leader at Rhodes State has been in building relationships \u2014 with students, faculty, administrators, staff and the community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-text\" data-index=\"9\">\u201cThe relationship between a college and the community is a critical component in the success of both,\u201d Faber said in a university statement. \u201cStrong college programs will help build a job-ready workforce that is linked to the community needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-text\" data-index=\"10\">Denniston was previously Appalachian State University\u2019s coordinator of faculty diversity recruitment and inclusion initiatives.
