{"id":120135,"date":"2022-03-10T08:53:45","date_gmt":"2022-03-10T13:53:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=120135"},"modified":"2022-03-10T09:02:32","modified_gmt":"2022-03-10T14:02:32","slug":"the-spirit-of-giving-and-competition-shining","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2022\/03\/10\/the-spirit-of-giving-and-competition-shining\/","title":{"rendered":"The spirit of giving and competition shining"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wright.edu\/student-affairs\/resources-and-support\/raider-food-pantry\">Raider Food Pantry<\/a> at Wright State University is hosting a food drive competition throughout March.<\/p>\n<p>Various departments around campus can compete as a team to win weekly homemade trophies and an overall winner trophy for their collection efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Each week, the collection theme changes so the pantry can focus on items it&#8217;s in greatest need of.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur mission is to best serve Wright State students,\u201d said Tylar O\u2019Neal-White, counseling and wellness student advocate and case manager.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Neal-White said the timing of the drive is perfect. Food items are beginning to run low after receiving a large donation from Wright State Police Department last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe officers definitely helped us over the Fall Semester and through wintertime, but now our supply is dwindling again,\u201d said O\u2019Neal White.<\/p>\n<p>The competition is already in its second week, but it\u2019s not too late if you would like to participate.
