All proceeds go toward scholarships for Wright State\u2019s outstanding fine and performing arts students. The event has raised nearly $3 million for arts scholarships during its 22-year history.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2022\/03\/14\/artsgala-returns\/20755-jennie-buckwalter-artsgala-4-13-19-2\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-120534 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2022\/03\/artsgala-20755_492-508x339.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"307\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cArtsGala is my favorite night of the year! I think the most fun for members of the community is that they not only see the talent of our arts students but get to talk with them and hear about their hopes and dreams,\u201d said Linda Caron, Ph.D., dean of the College of Liberal Arts. \u201cStudents are in awe that people they don\u2019t even know care about their future and their success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year ArtsGala celebrates its 23rd year with many special events designed to commemorate the occasion, including more than 450 student performers in 13 unique performances.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2019\/03\/27\/artsgala-at-20\/17359-denise-robinow-artsgala-4-9-16\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-63882 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2019\/03\/Artsgala-2016-Silent-Auction-in-Stein-Galleries-17359_056-2-508x283.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"256\" \/><\/a>Features this year include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Percussion Ensemble performance<\/li>\n<li>Selections from &#8220;Sweet Charity&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Live artistic creation by student artists in the Stein Gallery Art Experience<\/li>\n<li>Making a scene: motion picture students recreate the set of &#8220;BIG&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Broadway\u2019s Greatest Hits<em>, <\/em>Disney Rocks! and Oh, Woo Me, Woo Me!
