{"id":121937,"date":"2022-04-08T09:14:17","date_gmt":"2022-04-08T13:14:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=121937"},"modified":"2022-04-08T09:14:18","modified_gmt":"2022-04-08T13:14:18","slug":"excellence-in-human-relations-classified-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2022\/04\/08\/excellence-in-human-relations-classified-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Excellence in Human Relations (Classified)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_121949\" style=\"width: 224px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2022\/04\/08\/excellence-in-human-relations-classified-7\/dawne-baker-004-7-14\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-121949\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-121949\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-121949\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2022\/04\/Dawne-Baker-004-7-14-214x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-121949\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dawn Banker<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Dawn Banker, administrative specialist in the <a href=\"https:\/\/science-math.wright.edu\/earth-and-environmental-sciences\">Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences<\/a>, received the 2020 President\u2019s Award for Excellence in Human Relations (Classified) for her hard work across multiple departments in the <a href=\"https:\/\/science-math.wright.edu\/\">College of Science and Mathematics<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Donna Braswell, the college&#8217;s fiscal manager, nominated Banker for the award after she happily took on more responsibilities outside of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>When a need arose within the College of Science and Mathematics in another department, Braswell asked Banker if she would be willing to accept more responsibility within another department.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very grateful to have her on my team, as I know those units she serves are in the best possible hands,\u201d Braswell said. \u201cI cannot imagine not having Dawn as a team member in CoSM.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Faculty rely on Banker for their administrative needs related to travel and purchasing. Banker has a tremendous amount of knowledge of institutions and is incredibly effective at her job and communicating with students, faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<p>Before Banker joined the College of Science and Mathematics, she worked in the College of Liberal Arts.
