{"id":126497,"date":"2022-06-24T08:53:08","date_gmt":"2022-06-24T12:53:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=126497"},"modified":"2022-07-14T11:02:52","modified_gmt":"2022-07-14T15:02:52","slug":"business-driven-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2022\/06\/24\/business-driven-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Business driven"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Over 40 high school students learned what it\u2019s like to work in the field of business during a residential camp hosted by Wright State University\u2019s<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/business.wright.edu\/\">Raj Soin College of Business<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Professional Business Institute is a five-day camp with an experiential learning environment that helps students explore their interests in business.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Students learn skills in economics, accounting, marketing, finance, management, information systems management and entrepreneurship. Students also participate in campus activities and network with students from other schools across the region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cBefore this camp, I wasn\u2019t interested in going to college but now I definitely want to attend college and maybe even Wright State,\u201d said Cameron Cox, a senior at Stivers School for the Arts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Students are divided into teams with a business student-coach and work on real-world business challenges. Each team has a different business problem to solve.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>At the end of the camp, local business professionals judge team presentations and solutions.
