She expressed how important it was to recognize the efforts of Wright State researchers and said in the future the university will recognize faculty who have been published in high-impact journals and have received other citations.<\/p>\n<p>Provost Amy Thompson, Ph.D., expressed her pride and gratitude for the efforts of Wright State\u2019s researchers as well as the invaluable support given to faculty by their deans and chairs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor those we are recognizing today, I want you to know how incredibly impactful your work is,\u201d Thompson said. \u201cYour commitment to your respective areas of research and study is helping to change the world for the better and is helping to provide answers to some of the world\u2019s most complex issues while also giving our students the hands-on learning and experiences that they so desire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Researchers recognized at the inaugural Excellence in Grantsmanship event:<\/p>\n<p><strong>College of Health, Education and Human Services<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jeff Cigrang, Ph.D., professor of psychology and director of clinical training<\/p>\n<p><strong>College of Engineering and Computer Science<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Michelle Cheatham, Ph.D., associate professor of computer science<\/p>\n<p>Mitch Wolff, Ph.D., professor of mechanical and materials engineering<\/p>\n<p><strong>College of Science and Mathematics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>David Look, Ph.D., senior research physicist, Semiconductor Research Center<\/p>\n<p>Silvia Newell, Ph.D., professor of earth and environmental sciences<\/p>\n<p>Ion Juvina, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boonshoft School of Medicine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mark Rich, M.D., Ph.D., professor of neuroscience, cell biology and physiology and professor of neurology<\/p>\n<p>Jo Ann Ford, instructor of population and public health;
