Over 150 Wright State University students participated in the fourth annual College of Liberal Arts<\/a> Internship Partners Expo in the Millett Hall Atrium on March 28.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe internship expo is crucial to our success as students,\u201d said Kaylee Raines, a senior English major who attended the expo.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by 30 employers representing nonprofits, social services, media organizations, the arts and local governments who were looking for Wright State students to fill important roles in their organizations<\/p>\n

\u201cStudents can talk to the internship providers in an informal environment,\u201d said Wayne Stark, director of workforce development for the College of Liberal Arts.<\/p>\n

Several area police departments from Dayton, Miamisburg and Huber Heights were also among the employers that participated in the expo.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur most recent intern was from Wright State,\u201d said Nick Lambert, a public affairs officer at the Huber Heights Police Division. \u201cWe want to get more interns from their criminal justice program.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stark said internship providers love Wright State students because they are hard-working, pay attention and are hungry.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe bottom line is that the employers like our students, and it\u2019s exciting getting to see them together,\u201d said Stark.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
