She graduated from the University of Houston with a joint J.D.\/MBA degree. Prior to law school, Heppard worked as a geophysicist for Amoco Production Company.<\/p>\n<p>She graduated from Wright State in 1981 with a bachelor\u2019s degree in geological sciences.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_139062\" style=\"width: 130px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2023\/06\/12\/wright-state-university-foundation-welcomes-new-trustees-4\/vercie-lark\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-139062\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-139062\" class=\"wp-image-139062\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2023\/06\/Vercie-Lark.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-139062\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Vercie Lark &#8217;86<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Vercie Lark <\/strong>is a portfolio partner for Naples Technology Venture\u2019s Prosperity Fund and recently served as a U.S. presidential appointee and Great Plains regional administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration. In 2018, Lark retired from DST Financial Services after successfully growing the business from $650 million to almost $1 billion in annual revenue. He is the author of \u201cMake It Rain: Increase Your Wealth and Financial Security.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lark graduated from Wright State in 1986 with a bachelor\u2019s degree in electrical engineering.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_139060\" style=\"width: 130px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2023\/06\/12\/wright-state-university-foundation-welcomes-new-trustees-4\/peter-julian\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-139060\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-139060\" class=\"wp-image-139060\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2023\/06\/Peter-Julian.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-139060\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Peter Julian &#8217;71<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Peter Julian<\/strong> is a residential investment property expert and president of Pathfinder Realty, Inc.<\/p>\n<p>An avid supporter of Wright State Raider basketball, Julian graduated from Wright State in 1971 with a bachelor\u2019s degree in finance administration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_139056\" style=\"width: 130px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2023\/06\/12\/wright-state-university-foundation-welcomes-new-trustees-4\/natasha-sandella-headshot\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-139056\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-139056\" class=\"wp-image-139056\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2023\/06\/Natasha-Sandella-Headshot.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-139056\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Natasha Sandella<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Natasha Sandella<\/strong> is a graduate student pursuing her MBA in Wright State University\u2019s Raj Soin College of Business. She is the student director of the ONEIL Center and an executive board member and president emeritus of the Wright State Entrepreneurship Club. She will be one of two Wright State students serving on the Wright State Foundation Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n<p>For the next two years, the Wright State University Foundation Board of Trustees will be led by <strong>Linda Black-Kurek<\/strong>, who will serve as chair. A 1978 graduate of Wright State, Black-Kurek is president of Liberty Nursing Centers. She owns and operates three Liberty Nursing Centers in Ohio.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_139052\" style=\"width: 140px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2023\/06\/12\/wright-state-university-foundation-welcomes-new-trustees-4\/linda-black-kurek\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-139052\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-139052\" class=\"wp-image-139052\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2023\/06\/Linda-Black-Kurek.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"130\" height=\"130\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-139052\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Linda Black-Kurek &#8217;78<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI am honored to serve as chair of the Wright State University Foundation Board of Trustees,\u201d said Black-Kurek. \u201cOur goal is to provide assistance to the students and the university to further their success. As we continue to maximize the investment returns on our endowment, we are also developing alternative sources of revenue to further support the university and its students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With the arrival of the new trustees comes the departure of Andrea Kunk, president of Peerless Technologies, who has served on the foundation board since 2012, including two years as chair from 2019 to 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Kunk will begin serving as an emeritus trustee, along with Jerry Sutton, a 1972 Wright State graduate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are incredibly grateful to Andrea for her outstanding contributions over the years,\u201d said Rash. \u201cAndrea has a tremendous passion for Wright State and our students.
