Main St. in Miamisburg, it won&#8217;t take you long to notice the large display of photos and the family\u2019s long history of serving customers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wright State University alumni Kathy and Gregg Klein opened Tom &amp; Dot\u2019s Gelato Shop as a tribute to Kathy\u2019s grandparents, who owned a root beer stand in Indiana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tom McGrath told his granddaughter that she would be the next person in the family to open a frozen treat business. He was right, and Klein opened Tom &amp; Dot\u2019s on June 3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Klein wanted to honor her grandparents and her family\u2019s Italian heritage by serving gelato, a traditional Italian treat that tastes smooth and soft and contains less air than ice cream, which is denser.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_139310\" style=\"width: 470px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?attachment_id=139310\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-139310\" class=\"wp-image-139310 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2023\/06\/pic43434330-508x286.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"259\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-139310\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Wright State University alumni Kathy and Gregg Klein recently opened Tom &amp; Dot\u2019s Gelato Shop.<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The shop offers 16 flavors of gelato, coffee and artisan gelato sandwiches. Patrons can combine their love of coffee and gelato and order an Affogato, which contains espresso and Madagascar vanilla bean gelato.
