She is slow to speak and pass judgment and acts decisively when necessary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe university benefits from Angie\u2019s work on a daily basis,\u201d said Javan Conley, associate vice president for facility operations. \u201cAngie\u2019s work is the definition of excellence. She is on top of every situation and has an innate ability to anticipate and head off serious issues or pitfalls before they happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tipton is respected by her coworkers and those she supervises. Her demeanor and compassion make it easy for anyone to approach her without feeling inadequate or judged.<\/p>\n<p>Much of Tipton\u2019s work is time-sensitive, and she never misses a deadline.<\/p>\n<p>Tipton\u2019s primary responsibility is handling requests for capital construction funds from the Ohio Controlling Board. She puts together the descriptive narratives in the university\u2019s funding requests and, after funds are received, manages the payments and the local construction accounts to ensure funds are appropriately allocated and spent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAngie\u2019s experience is second to none, and her knowledge of the Controlling Board policies makes her irreplaceable,\u201d Conley said.<\/p>\n<p>During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tipton expertly managed the long list of expenditures and projects Facility Operations secured with federal funding.<\/p>\n<p>She also plays a key role in the many year-end expenditures and projects Facility Operations pursues.
