{"id":142321,"date":"2023-10-02T10:55:25","date_gmt":"2023-10-02T14:55:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=142321"},"modified":"2023-10-02T10:55:25","modified_gmt":"2023-10-02T14:55:25","slug":"wright-day-to-give-scheduled-for-oct-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2023\/10\/02\/wright-day-to-give-scheduled-for-oct-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Wright Day to Give scheduled for Oct. 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wright State University will host its seventh annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wright.edu\/event\/wright-day-to-give\">Wright Day to Give on Tuesday, Oct. 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are always amazed by the generosity of our donors on the Wright Day to Give,\u201d said Amy Jones, director of annual giving. \u201cWe are thankful to all of the Wright State alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends who step up and give back on this special day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wright Day to Give donors are encouraged to support the area of campus that is most meaningful to them. Whether it\u2019s academics or athletics, student scholarships or student success initiatives, every gift makes a difference in the life of a Wright State student.<\/p>\n<p>Adrienne Draper, a graduate student in public administration, is grateful for the support that donors provide to scholarships on the Wright Day to Give and throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThanks to the scholarships I received, I will be able to complete my program on time and with less debt while also gaining valuable experiences along the way,\u201d said Draper.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2023\/10\/02\/wright-day-to-give-scheduled-for-oct-3\/66353-giving-day-art-01\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-142328\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-142328\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2023\/10\/66353-Giving-Day-art-01.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a>For acting major Remah Nyumah, gifts from donors helped provide the financial support she needed in order to participate in a study abroad program for acting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing able to travel abroad for educational experiences would not have been possible without the support from our alumni and friends,\u201d said Nyumah.<\/p>\n<p>For this year\u2019s Wright Day to Give, donors are invited to \u201cGive Back to the Pack\u201d and help the university reach its goal of 1,100 donors. A variety of challenges and incentives will be offered to encourage participation, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>College Alumni Participation Challenge: <\/strong>When alumni make a donation to any fund that they are passionate about, the college they graduated from will receive credit toward the College Alumni Challenge. The college with the most alumni gifts (regardless of where the gift is designated) will earn $5,000 for their college, thanks to a gift from Anna (\u201983, \u201987) and John Monnett.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First-Time Donor Incentive: <\/strong>First-time donors who make a minimum gift of $19.67 will receive a Wright State University-branded pennant as a special token of appreciation.
