The College of Liberal Arts First-Year Student Success and Career Exploration Event featured a panel of 20 alumni and informational and networking opportunities for Wright State University students to explore potential careers.<\/p>\n
The Oct. 25 event provided students opportunities to ask questions and hear about each panelist\u2019s college journey and how Wright State prepared them for their careers.<\/p>\n
\u201cSharing tips, sharing experiences and sharing opportunities,\u201d said Wayne Stark, director of workforce development for the College of Liberal Arts<\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s what it\u2019s about tonight \u2014 helping students understand the possibilities with the liberal arts.\u201d<\/p>\n Joshua Baker, who graduated from Wright State with a degree in music education in 2007, said students can absorb a lot from events like this.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you\u2019re in a room with people willing to share their experience, I think there\u2019s a lot you can learn,\u201d said Baker.<\/p>\n The career exploration event was designed for first-year students but was open to all students who wished to attend.<\/p>\n \u201cI liked the ability to interact,\u201d said Edward Hans, a first-year student majoring in English.
