The smell of buttery toasted bread filled the Forest Lane Apartments Community Center for the annual Grilled Cheese Hotline at Wright State University on Nov. 28.<\/p>\n
The yearly fundraiser was organized by Wright State Miracle Makers, a division of The Children\u2019s Miracle Network, which supports local children\u2019s hospitals.<\/p>\n
Students, faculty and staff could pick up or place delivery orders for $2 grilled cheese sandwiches and $1 cups of hot tomato soup.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the most rewarding thing that I\u2019ve been able to do,\u201d said Ashley Greene, a junior majoring in organizational leadership who helped organize orders.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s fundraiser sold 350 sandwiches and 275 cups of soup, raising over $1,000 for Dayton Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo be able to make an impact in our own community is the best,\u201d said Greene.<\/p>\n
