{"id":149185,"date":"2024-04-09T13:47:24","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T17:47:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=149185"},"modified":"2024-12-19T10:13:42","modified_gmt":"2024-12-19T15:13:42","slug":"a-sight-to-see","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2024\/04\/09\/a-sight-to-see\/","title":{"rendered":"A sight to see"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Wright State University community celebrated a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the total solar eclipse on the Dayton and Lake campuses on April 8.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Both campuses were in the path of the solar eclipse, which began at 1:53 p.m., with totality starting at 3:10 p.m. and only lasting a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIt was so beautiful,\u201d said Gina Keucher, Student Involvement and Leadership program director.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIt literally gave me goosebumps,\u201d said Brad Kerry, economics adjunct faculty member and president of the Wright State Astronomy Club.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hundreds of students, faculty and staff on the Dayton Campus witnessed the moment on the North Lawn near Hamilton Hall.
