Although Cowboy Mouth will be in town in September to perform at the inaugural Downtown Dayton Revival, the New Orleans-based band won\u2019t participate in the local production of \u201cRed Blooded, All-American Man.\u201d Instead, a group of hired musicians will perform the songs.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been working on this piece for about three-and-a-half years and we\u2019ve done a lot of re-writes,\u201d said Lawson, a graduate of Wright State University\u2019s theater department. \u201cThe time we\u2019ve been here and working with all the talented folks at Human Race have really helped out a lot.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve done more rewrites and some changes as well,\u201d he added. \u201cI couldn\u2019t be happier with how it\u2019s coming together. I\u2019m a hometown boy so it\u2019s neat to go full circle and come back with a piece I wrote and get to play with it a little bit here.\u201d<\/p>\n
