Almost 150 Wright State University students and a dozen staff and faculty members participated in the Established Leadership Retreat Aug. 11-13.<\/p>\n

Now in its 18th year, the summer leadership experience is designed to build relationships between student leaders at Wright State.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese students are really our most engaged students,\u201d said Gina Keucher, assistant director of Student Involvement and Leadership<\/a>. \u201cThey really lead our students in great ways.\u201d<\/p>\n

The retreat consisted of interactive team-building and experiential-based activities, workshops and presentations that challenged and engaged students.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter I completed the program, it really changed who I am as a person and a leader,\u201d said India Hector, a senior human resource management major who participated in the program for the past two years.<\/p>\n

On the last day of the retreat, students used what they learned and the connections they made to create action plans for the 2024\u20132025 academic year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese students are the ones who make a difference on campus,\u201d said Keucher. \u201cThey are building collaborative partnerships, which is a great way to make our school better.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
