Jennifer Limoli, office assistant in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering<\/p><\/div>\n

Jennifer Limoli, office assistant in Wright State University’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering<\/a>, received a 2024 President\u2019s Award for Excellence in Service.<\/p>\n

A dedicated employee for more than 30 years, Limoli is a cornerstone in the department\u2019s main office and is recognized by students, faculty and staff in the College of Engineering and Computer Science<\/a> as one of its most capable, committed and hard-working staff members.<\/p>\n

More than half of the students in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering are graduate students. Limoli is responsible for the bulk of the workload associated with these graduate students.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe has done an outstanding job of providing continued support for our four graduate programs, responding to student concerns, and facilitating academic and regulatory processes and procedures,\u201d said Thomas Wischgoll, Ph.D., professor and interim chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering<\/p>\n

Limoli is a well-organized and diligent steward of the department\u2019s records and processes. She assists students at all steps of their academic path, from application to graduation, and facilitates vital departmental, college and university processes. Her responsibilities include conducting graduation checks, facilitating thesis and dissertation proposals and defenses and coordinating accreditation and program assessment activities.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn all of these tasks, Ms. Limoli is professional, diligent and reliable,\u201d Wischgoll said. \u201cI can count on Jennifer to identify emerging problems and suggest effective solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the spring of 2024, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering graduated 149 master\u2019s degree and doctoral students, about a third of the class\u2019s total graduate population.<\/p>\n

Limoli assisted all of these students, including with paperwork that allowed them to study at Wright State and remain in the United States for work after graduation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWithout all of her efforts, we would not be able to graduate this many students,\u201d Wischgoll said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
