Wright State students and alumni can explore co-op, internship and part-time and full-time employment <\/span>opportunities with 88 employers at the fall 2024 Career and Internship Fair on Oct. 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Student Union.<\/p><\/div>\n

Wright State University\u2019s fall 2024 Career and Internship Fair<\/a> provides an excellent opportunity for students and alumni to explore career paths and connect with potential employers.<\/p>\n

Wright State students from the Dayton and Lake campuses are encouraged to attend, whether they are in their first semester or their last year of graduate school. Alumni are also welcome.<\/p>\n

The fall Career and Internship Fair takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Apollo and Endeavor rooms in the Student Union.<\/p>\n

Participants can connect with employers from all sectors of the professional world, from nonprofit organizations to corporations to government agencies to the defense industry. Employers will be on hand to discuss co-ops, internships and part-time and full-time employment opportunities.<\/p>\n

A total of 88 employers are expected to attend the Career Fair. In the past, attendance would be capped at 73 employers, but so many people were interested this year that Wright State\u2019s Career Services<\/a> expanded the Career Fair.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited that there are so many employers who want to connect with Wright State students,\u201d said Julie Wielonski, associate director of external relations and events for Career Services. \u201cI\u2019m excited about each one. Every employer offers unique opportunities and will appeal to different students depending on their career goals.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a common misconception that all career fairs are just for business students, but the Career Fair is designed for all students to explore opportunities,\u201d she said. \u201cFor freshmen, it\u2019s a chance to get acquainted with career fairs and begin exploring career paths. Sophomores and juniors can engage with employers about potential internships and expand their professional networks. Seniors can start their job search and connect with employers eager to meet prospective candidates.\u201d<\/p>\n

Students are encouraged to register for the Career Fair through Handshake<\/a>, where they can find additional information about the fair and what to expect. Same-day registration will also be available. Students are encouraged to dress professionally for the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Career Fair offers a valuable opportunity for students to enhance their career readiness and establish connections that can pave the way to future success,\u201d Wielonski said. \u201cI love seeing students and employers connect.\u201d<\/p>\n
