\"\"<\/a>Catherine Amaris Hernandez Hogan plays a significant role in championing diversity and inclusion at Wright State University in her role as assistant director of the Latino Center. The center’s services include student recruitment, college prep, hosting events and celebrations, among others.<\/p>\n

“Under her leadership, the Latino Center has become a hub for fostering a supportive environment for Latino students, promoting their academic and social success, and empowering them to become leaders in their communities,” said Stephanie Patino-Garfias, community engagement specialist at Montgomery County Auditor\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

At Wright State, Hogan is also senior director of Latino affairs and community engagement. She is a 2024 Diversity Champion by the Dayton Business Journal.<\/p>\n

Hogan’s diversity initiatives at Wright State include creating a first-year seminar Latino Si Se Puede, to help Latino students navigate college life. She also organized the annual Amigos Latinos Gala and helps with student recruitment.<\/p>\n

Hogan organized a free monthly bilingual wellness clinic for underserved Latino populations through the Latino Medical Student Association and the College of Health, Education and Human Services.<\/p>\n

“Beyond the campus, her work has a ripple effect, preparing a new generation of culturally aware and inclusive leaders who will contribute to diverse workplaces and industries,” said Patino-Garfias who had Hogan as a mentor.<\/p>\n
