Wright State University\u2019s Homecoming events transported alumni, students, faculty and staff to the great outdoors with its \u201cUnder the Stars, Every Star Tells a Story\u201d theme.<\/p>\n
The annual Chili Cookoff, basketball games, Salsa Night, the Alumni Achievement Awards, Paint and Sip and a Homecoming Dance highlighted Wright State\u2019s packed Homecoming Week<\/a> on the Dayton Campus Feb. 5-8.<\/p>\n Homecoming Week was organized by the Wright State Alumni Association, Wright State University and Wright State student organizations.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so important to stay in touch with your community,\u201d said Lexi Ricker, a 2024 graduate who attended the Chili Cookoff and men\u2019s basketball game at the Wright State Nutter Center on Feb. 8.<\/p>\n Organizers say homecoming is about collaborations with various campus organizations and making memories for students and alumni.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a great opportunity for students to remember Wright State forever,\u201d said Courtney Laukitis, assistant director of campus organizations in the Student Involvement and Leadership Center who helped organize the Homecoming events.<\/p>\n It is the third year since Wright State pivoted Homecoming Week from the fall to the spring semester, aligning it with Wright State men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball games while also allowing more student organizations to participate in activities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Wright State University\u2019s Homecoming events transported alumni, students, faculty and staff to the great outdoors with its \u201cUnder the Stars, Every Star Tells a Story\u201d theme.
