{"id":157244,"date":"2025-03-05T09:45:58","date_gmt":"2025-03-05T14:45:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=157244"},"modified":"2025-03-05T09:45:58","modified_gmt":"2025-03-05T14:45:58","slug":"living-dayton-president-edwards-explains-how-students-can-win-scholarships-to-wright-state-at-the-big-hoopla-stem-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2025\/03\/05\/living-dayton-president-edwards-explains-how-students-can-win-scholarships-to-wright-state-at-the-big-hoopla-stem-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Living Dayton&#8217;: President Edwards explains how students can win scholarships to Wright State at the Big Hoopla STEM Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During an appearance on &#8220;Living Dayton,&#8221; President Sue Edwards explained how 12 students can win full in-state tuition scholarships to Wright State University by participating in the Big Hoopla STEM Challenge.<\/p>\n<p>The annual STEM Challenge, championed by Wright State University, will take place on Sunday, March 16, from noon to 5 p.m. in Wright State\u2019s Student Union.<\/p>\n<p>Students can register for the event at <a href=\"http:\/\/daytonhoopla.com\/hoopla-stem-challenge\">daytonhoopla.com\/hoopla-stem-challenge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Wright State will award full in-state tuition scholarships to winners of the basketball shootout: a male and female student in each grade division (K\u20132, 3\u20134, 5\u20136 and 7\u20138). Four additional winners will be randomly selected through a raffle.<\/p>\n<p>Students must complete 80% of the STEM passport to be eligible for a Wright State scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>Wright State will also host the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopla4miler.com\/\">Big Hoopla 4-Miler<\/a> walk\/run on March 16.
