{"id":157916,"date":"2025-03-25T10:11:48","date_gmt":"2025-03-25T14:11:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=157916"},"modified":"2025-04-21T09:11:08","modified_gmt":"2025-04-21T13:11:08","slug":"clermont-county-health-commissioner-julianne-nesbit-honored-with-2025-boonshoft-school-of-medicine-outstanding-alumna-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2025\/03\/25\/clermont-county-health-commissioner-julianne-nesbit-honored-with-2025-boonshoft-school-of-medicine-outstanding-alumna-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Clermont County health commissioner Julianne Nesbit honored with 2025 Boonshoft School of Medicine Outstanding Alumna Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Julianne Nesbit, who has dedicated nearly 30 years to advancing community health across Ohio, received the 2025 Boonshoft School of Medicine Outstanding Alumna Award from the Wright State University Alumni Association.<\/p>\n<p>Receiving the award brought back memories of her time as a student, balancing full-time work with her studies in the <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.wright.edu\/population-and-public-health-sciences\/master-of-public-health\">Master of Public Health program<\/a> at Wright State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs I was working on my degree, I was working a full-time job,\u201d Nesbit recalled. \u201cMy daughter was born while I was in the middle of the program. She was read public health textbooks for the first year of her life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nesbit&#8217;s career reflects a profound dedication to fostering healthier communities and a sustainable public health infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>She earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in environmental management from Ball State University and a Master of Public Health from <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.wright.edu\/\">Wright State\u2019s Boonshoft School of Medicine<\/a>. She is also a registered environmental health specialist.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2013, Nesbit has led Clermont County Public Health as health commissioner.
