{"id":158264,"date":"2025-04-08T09:27:27","date_gmt":"2025-04-08T13:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=158264"},"modified":"2025-04-08T09:27:27","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T13:27:27","slug":"wright-state-ranks-among-nations-top-graduate-engineering-and-computer-science-programs-in-2025-u-s-news-rankings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2025\/04\/08\/wright-state-ranks-among-nations-top-graduate-engineering-and-computer-science-programs-in-2025-u-s-news-rankings\/","title":{"rendered":"Wright State ranks among nation\u2019s top graduate engineering and computer science programs in 2025 U.S. News rankings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2025\/04\/08\/wright-state-ranks-among-nations-top-graduate-engineering-and-computer-science-programs-in-2025-u-s-news-rankings\/cecs-7-best-2025__a\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-158270\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-158270\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2025\/04\/CECS-7-Best-2025__a-260x260.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Wright State University\u2019s graduate engineering and computer science programs have been recognized among the best in the nation, according to the prestigious 2025 U.S. News and World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 rankings evaluated program excellence based on expert opinions, statistical indicators measuring faculty quality, research output, student quality and post-graduation outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>Seven graduate programs offered by <a href=\"https:\/\/engineering-computer-science.wright.edu\/\">Wright State\u2019s College of Engineering and Computer Science<\/a> earned spots in the U.S. News Best Engineering School rankings, with the Aerospace Systems Engineering program leading at 59th nationally and the Industrial and Human Factors Engineering program at 80th.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWright State University offers high-quality graduate programs, many of which are nationally recognized,\u201d said Subhashini Ganapathy, Ph.D., dean of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wright.edu\/graduate-programs-and-honors-studies\">College of Graduate Programs and Honors Studies<\/a>. \u201cWith world-class faculty leading coursework and research opportunities, we take pride in providing flexible program options that enhance accessibility for anyone pursuing graduate studies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ranked College of Engineering and Computer Science programs include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master of Science in Aerospace Systems Engineering: 59<\/li>\n<li>Master of Science in Industrial and Human Factors Engineering: 80<\/li>\n<li>Materials science and engineering graduate degree program: 107<\/li>\n<li>Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering: 114<\/li>\n<li>Master of Science in Computer Engineering: 120<\/li>\n<li>Master of Science in Electrical Engineering: 138<\/li>\n<li>Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering: 141<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wright State&#8217;s College of Engineering and Computer Science was also recognized in the U.S. News Best Engineering School rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Wright State&#8217;s reputation for excellence was also recognized when U.S. News ranked its online Master of Science in Industrial and Human Factors Engineering as the <a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2025\/01\/23\/wright-states-industrial-and-human-factors-engineering-program-named-one-of-top-online-graduate-programs-by-u-s-news\/\">second-best in Ohio and 34th nationally<\/a> earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>The College of Engineering and Computer Science offers a robust selection of advanced engineering and computer science degrees, including 11 master\u2019s programs, three doctoral programs and 10 graduate certificates.<\/p>\n<p>The college maintains valuable partnerships with industry leaders across Ohio and beyond, creating opportunities for graduate students to work on real-world projects. These strategic collaborations with companies like GE Aviation, Reynolds &amp; Reynolds, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the Air Force Research Laboratory provide students with hands-on experience solving complex engineering challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The college\u2019s research centers focus on emerging technologies in areas like cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and advanced materials, positioning graduates at the forefront of technological innovation with the skills employers seek most.<\/p>\n<p>Recent investments in laboratory facilities include a new advanced manufacturing lab, expanded virtual reality testing environments and enhanced computational resources for big data analytics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wright State\u2019s MBA program also recognized<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 2025 Best Graduate Schools from U.S. News also recognized the part-time Master of Business Administration offered by the <a href=\"https:\/\/business.wright.edu\/\">Raj Soin College of Business<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Wright State\u2019s Master of Business Administration program develops managers and leaders whose understanding and vision encompass the total organization.
