{"id":160464,"date":"2025-08-08T16:14:37","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T20:14:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=160464"},"modified":"2025-08-08T16:14:37","modified_gmt":"2025-08-08T20:14:37","slug":"over-1400-families-received-food-assistance-at-wright-states-nutter-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2025\/08\/08\/over-1400-families-received-food-assistance-at-wright-states-nutter-center\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 1,400 families received food assistance at Wright State\u2019s Nutter Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>More than 1,400 households received food assistance at Wright State University\u2019s Nutter Center on Aug. 7 during a mass distribution organized by The Foodbank.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Volunteers from CareSource, SICSA Pet Adoption and Wellness Center and Wright State\u2019s men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball teams helped distribute thousands of pounds of fresh produce, proteins, grains and pet food.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cComing out here, I didn\u2019t know what to expect,\u201d said Solomon Callaghan, a sophomore guard on the men\u2019s basketball team. \u201cOnce I got here, it\u2019s been an incredible experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The event was one of several mass food distributions planned by The Foodbank.
