{"id":161391,"date":"2025-09-17T13:58:37","date_gmt":"2025-09-17T17:58:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=161391"},"modified":"2025-09-17T13:58:37","modified_gmt":"2025-09-17T17:58:37","slug":"2025-presidents-award-for-outstanding-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2025\/09\/17\/2025-presidents-award-for-outstanding-performance\/","title":{"rendered":"2025 President\u2019s Award for Outstanding Performance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2020\/09\/03\/wright-state-actuarial-science-students-and-grads-finding-home-at-canary-consulting\/print-8\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-94173\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-94173\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2020\/08\/COSM_H-260x173.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"173\" \/><\/a>When her department lost a supervisor, accountant Elizabeth Robbins didn\u2019t just keep things running \u2014 she took on extra work with skill, dedication and a positive attitude.<\/p>\n<p>An accountant in Fiscal Services who works closely with Wright State University\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/science-math.wright.edu\/\">College of Science and Mathematics<\/a>, Robbins was recognized with the 2025 President\u2019s Award for Outstanding Performance for her willingness to go above and beyond during a time of change.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cElizabeth willingly went above and beyond, with a good attitude, to serve her division in a time of need,\u201d said Denny Daugherty, director of recruitment and student success for the College of Science and Mathematics. \u201cShe has helped to inspire and encourage her colleagues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the departure of her supervisor, Robbins not only handled her own responsibilities but also took on her supervisor\u2019s duties \u2014 all while pursuing a degree at Wright State. She often worked nights and weekends to keep finances in order for the colleges she supports.<\/p>\n<p>Robbins\u2019 resourcefulness was on full display when a funding gap emerged for promotional items one college had planned to purchase. She combed through budgets and identified funds to cover the swag for the upcoming year in addition to managing the already demanding end-of-fiscal-year workload.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the pressure, Robbins maintained a sense of optimism that helped strengthen her team\u2019s morale.
