(Photo by Erin Pence)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>With a passion for fun and authentic storytelling, Kim Schneider and Sarah Umbdenstock have transformed Wright State University\u2019s social media into a vibrant, student-focused showcase of campus life.<\/p>\n<p>As the social media coordinators in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wright.edu\/enrollment-management\/brand-communications-and-marketing\">Office of University Communications and Marketing<\/a>, Schneider and Umbdenstock manage Wright State\u2019s accounts on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/wrightstateu\/\">Instagram<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/WrightStateUniversity\">Facebook<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/wrightstate\">X<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@wrightstateu\">TikTok<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/wright-state-university\/\">LinkedIn<\/a>, producing on-trend, relevant and engaging content that connects with audiences while highlighting the university community.<\/p>\n<p>Their innovative approach earned them the 2025 Spirit of Innovation Award.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnyone can glance at the Wright State accounts and see the fresh, student-centric content and impressive engagement,\u201d said Rachel Schwab, enrollment and retention coordinator for the College of Health, Education and Human Services, who nominated them. \u201cThrough their work, Wright State\u2019s social media presence continues to improve and increase.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Schneider and Umbdenstock\u2019s impact extends beyond Wright State\u2019s main accounts.<\/p>\n<p>They collaborate with other university social media managers to boost visibility for smaller accounts, share resources and raise the overall quality of content of Wright State-focused content.
