The annual event, now in its third year at Mini University, helps ease preschoolers\u2019 anxiety about visiting a hospital or doctor\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we enjoy it just as much as they do,\u201d said Caroline Goeller, a fourth-year medical student who assisted students in the eyes, ears, nose and throat station.<\/p>\n
The event also gives medical students who plan to work in pediatrics an opportunity to interact with children.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can\u2019t teach how to interact with children,\u201d said Sarah Rainey, director of Mini University. \u201cSo, what we can do is offer those opportunities to the students so they can gain those skills.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
