{"id":162946,"date":"2025-12-04T09:05:56","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T14:05:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=162946"},"modified":"2025-12-04T09:05:57","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T14:05:57","slug":"dayton-daily-news-wright-state-named-best-for-vets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2025\/12\/04\/dayton-daily-news-wright-state-named-best-for-vets\/","title":{"rendered":"Dayton Daily News: Wright State named \u2018Best for Vets\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2025\/12\/04\/dayton-daily-news-wright-state-named-best-for-vets\/vmc_bestforvetscolleges2025-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-162953\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-162953\" src=\"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2025\/12\/VMC_BestforVetsColleges2025-260x260.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Wright State University was recently named to the 2025 Best for Vets: College list from the Military Times.<\/p>\n<p>The university says this distinction shows the university\u2019s commitment to supporting military service members, veterans and families.<\/p>\n<p>Seth Gordon, director of Wright State\u2019s Veteran and Military Center, said the recognition reflects the consistent dedication of faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cContinuing to be ranked speaks to the consistent and hard work of those at Wright State who support our military-connected students and the surrounding community that is always looking for ways to connect to each other,\u201d Gordon said.<\/p>\n<p>The Military Times evaluated the institutions on academic quality, student support services, affordability and veterans\u2019 outcomes, including graduation and retention rates.<\/p>\n<p>Wright State serves approximately 850 military-connected students each semester, including active-duty service members, veterans, reservists and dependents, according to the university.<\/p>\n<p>Wright State offers financial assistance through scholarships, including the Active Duty Military Undergraduate Scholarship, which pays for tuition costs for tuition assistance-approved courses not covered by Military Tuition Assistance.
