Available through Wright State\u2019s Career Hub, Big Interview and Big Resume help students practice for interviews and improve application materials with real-time, personalized feedback to better prepare them for success in the job search.<\/p><\/div>\n

Wright State University is expanding career support for students with the launch of a free AI-powered platform that delivers instant feedback on r\u00e9sum\u00e9s and interview skills.<\/p>\n

Available through Wright State\u2019s Career Hub, Big Interview and Big Resume<\/a> allow students to practice interviews and improve job application materials with real-time, personalized feedback day or night.<\/p>\n

\u201cEmployers are looking for well-prepared candidates, and we want our students to show up as their strongest, most confident selves throughout the interview and application process,\u201d said Kim Gilliam, Ed.D., director of career education and student success. \u201cThat\u2019s exactly what Big Interview is designed to support, helping Wright State students stand out to employers and succeed throughout the job search journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

The platform provides tailored guidance based on specific job descriptions, helping students refine materials for specific roles while also building broader, transferable skills.<\/p>\n

The addition enhances the work of the Career Hub<\/a>, a centralized space in the Student Union where students and alumni can explore majors and careers, search for jobs and internships, meet with employers, and receive hands-on support such as r\u00e9sum\u00e9 reviews, mock interviews and free professional headshots.<\/p>\n

The new tool will allow the Career Hub to expand its reach and deliver timely, on-demand support to more students.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see students at all different stages of the career journey,\u201d Gilliam said. \u201cThis tool gives them the space to practice, make mistakes and improve before they ever sit down with an employer.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the platform provides immediate feedback, Gilliam emphasized it is a first step. Students are encouraged to continue meeting with career consultants for individualized discussion and feedback on their r\u00e9sum\u00e9s, job preparation and career goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe technology is powerful, but it doesn\u2019t replace personalized conversations,\u201d Gilliam said. \u201cIt helps us have more meaningful, focused discussions with students about their goals.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faculty can also integrate Big Interview and Big Resume into coursework, including large-enrollment classes.<\/p>\n

The platform is available to all students, faculty and staff. Users must register with a Wright State email address to create an account.<\/p>\n

The Career Hub will offer training workshops to help users get started. Dates and times will be announced.<\/p>\n
