It will be located entirely on the Beavercreek portion of the site, which was rezoned in early 2026, while the overall Raider Row project will include adjacent land in Fairborn to allow for coordinated development.

The Raider Row project aims to transform undeveloped land and overflow parking into nearly 20,000 square feet of retail, dining and community amenity space across several commercial buildings.

The development is expected to provide students with a convenient dining option adjacent to campus, supplement on-campus food services and enhance the overall Wright State student experience.

“Raider Row is a result of thinking creatively about our assets and identifying ways of putting them to work for our students and community,” said Greg Sample, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Wright State.

“We are pleased that the Beavercreek City Council has approved the Chick-fil-A near our Dayton Campus,” Sample said. “Wright State remains committed to its mission of educating students and supporting the region’s workforce development needs. This development represents a strong partnership that provides added amenities for our students, enhances campus life and strengthens the local economy. It creates value not just for Raiders, but for the broader community as well.”

“This is a win for Beavercreek and the Wright State community,” said Randy Burkett, City of Beavercreek’s planning and development director. “We look forward to working closely with Wright State and the City of Fairborn as Raider Row develops. We are thrilled about what it will bring to this area of the Colonel Glenn Highway corridor.”

Construction on the new Chick-fil-A is set to begin at the end of the Spring Semester, with an opening targeted for the start of fall 2026.

The Raider Row project is planned as a phased development over several years, with specific configuration and tenant mix strategically targeted to meet demand and opportunity.

The new Chick-fil-A restaurant will serve as a foundational component of Raider Row, a larger commercial development planned on land near Wright State University that spans portions of both Beavercreek and Fairborn. Continue reading →

[729,2038,2043,725,715

post-165331","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-around-campus","category-campus-growth","category-facilities-planning","category-home-news-sidebar","category-news
["GET
