As students at Wright State University\u2013Lake Campus<\/a> celebrate graduation, alumnus Mitch Eiting \u201909 will return with a message shaped by decades of service, leadership and a commitment to helping others along the way.<\/p>\n

From production and shipping to human resources and corporate philanthropy, Eiting has built a career defined by service at Midmark Corporation in Versailles \u2014 a message he will share at the Lake Campus commencement ceremony on Thursday, April 30, at 5:30 p.m. at Shankel Auditorium at Cross Oak Camp in St. Marys, Ohio.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the end, success is not just about the title you hold,\u201d Eiting said. \u201cIt is about whether people are better because you were there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eiting will be honored as the 2026 Lake Campus Outstanding Alumnus Award, which recognizes both his professional accomplishments and commitment to community service.<\/p>\n

Eiting was working full-time while raising a family when his manager encouraged him to complete his bachelor\u2019s degree at Lake Campus.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the time, it just felt like good advice. Looking back, I see it set me on a path that shaped my future in ways I didn\u2019t expect,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He credits the Lake Campus faculty for teaching him to apply his education to real-world work situations<\/p>\n

At Lake Campus, Eiting found more than a degree \u2014 he found faculty who knew his name, challenged him and believed in him, along with classmates who were also balancing responsibilities with coursework.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I found a campus that understood that some of the most determined students do not come here on a straight path,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Those relationships stayed with him long after graduation, shaping the way he leads, works with others and encourages family, friends and colleagues today.<\/p>\n

That sense of connection didn\u2019t end with graduation. Eiting served for nearly 20 years on the Western Ohio Educational Foundation board, which supports scholarships for Lake Campus students.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat gave me the opportunity to stay connected to the campus and help open doors for students coming behind me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Those same values carried into his career at Midmark Corporation, where service is a central part of his job.<\/p>\n

In his current role as manager of global philanthropy and corporate giving, Eiting has helped expand the company\u2019s community impact, including launching the Midmark Cares Committee to coordinate volunteer efforts across the organization.<\/p>\n

He has led a wide range of community service efforts, including blood drives, assembling school backpacks for underserved children and coordinating equipment donations globally.<\/p>\n

Guided by the philosophy of \u201cbecause we care,\u201d Eiting has helped build a culture of service that extends well beyond the workplace.<\/p>\n
