Runners,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>walkers<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and families filled<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Wright State University\u2019s Dayton Campus<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>for the\u202f<\/span>Air Force Marathon<\/span><\/a>\u2019s Health and Fitness<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Expo,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>5K race and Tailwind Trot 1K Kids Run on<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Sept.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>17\u201318.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The 2026<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>events<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>mark<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the 20th anniversary of Wright State\u2019s involvement with the Air Force Marathon,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>celebrating<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>university\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>longstanding connection<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>with<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cFor two decades, Wright State has partnered with the Air Force Marathon, reflecting our shared commitment to honoring the U.S. Air Force while strengthening connections throughout our community,\u201d said Wright State President Sue Edwards. \u201cWe are proud to be a part of one of the region\u2019s most celebrated events while welcoming individuals from around the world to our campus.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/span>The Wright<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>State University\u202f<\/span>Nutter Center<\/span><\/a>\u202fis home to the 5K, Tailwind Trot 1K Kids Run and Health and Fitness Expo,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>which<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>kicked<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>off<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the race weekend. Wright State supports<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>additional<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>aspects of the race weekend, including race-day parking and the 5K finish line festival.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/span>This year also marked<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the 30th running of the Air Force Marathon,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>established<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in 1997.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
