\"\"<\/a>The Wright State Raiders men\u2019s basketball team\u2019s season opener against Air Force at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 is sold out.<\/p>\n

\u201cFans have stepped up for both the Raiders and Falcons in an unprecedented show of support,\u201d said Wright State Athletics Director Brad Chandler in a press release on Thursday, Oct. 22. \u201cWe\u2019ve hinted at a few surprises, but simply put, the Nutter Center will be the place to be for the opening night of college basketball.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wright State distributed 5,000 tickets to military personnel in September in hopes of producing a big crowd for the Stars, Stripes and Flight Classic, which is sponsored by CareSource and The Big Hoopla.<\/p>\n

According to Wright State, \u201cThis highly anticipated game will bring fans from across the Miami Valley for a special night of college basketball while honoring Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the U.S. Air Force, veterans and active-duty military.<\/p>\n

\u201cTicket holders will receive a free Vintage Rowdy T-shirt at the door. More details regarding pregame activities will be released next week.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Nutter Center seats 8,000 fans for basketball games, according to the Wright State website, though KenPom.com lists the capacity as 10,449, which makes it the 81st largest arena in Division I. According to Wright State\u2019s history of the Nutter Center, it can accommodate as many as 11,200 spectators for concerts and other events.<\/p>\n

A crowd of 10,234 watched Wright State play Tennessee State in the first basketball game at the Nutter Center on Dec. 1, 1990.<\/p>\n

Wright State averaged 3,562 fans in the 2025-26 season. That was the highest average in the Horizon League, well ahead of Oakland (2,274).<\/p>\n
