\"\"<\/a>As 2012 came to a close, Wright State\u2019s Campus Scholarship and Innovation Campaign (CSIC) became the most successful in the university\u2019s history, with faculty, staff and retirees donating $554,923 for scholarships and programs\u2014a 25 percent increase over the previous year.<\/p>\n

Half of the university\u2019s 2,388 faculty and staff donated to the annual giving campaign\u2014a participation rate that is considered a \u201cgold standard\u201d among fundraising professionals from state universities. As evidence of Wright State\u2019s dedication to providing students with opportunities to succeed, 56 percent of last year\u2019s contributions went directly to scholarships.<\/p>\n

\u201cWright State faculty and staff are incredibly generous,\u201d said Jennifer Foster, associate director of annual giving. \u201cWe had a lot of faculty, staff and retirees who came through and made larger contributions this year in the $10,000 to $25,000 range. The generosity of Wright State donors is evident in the participation, and any amount faculty, staff and retirees give really adds up.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2013 Campus Scholarship and Innovation Campaign will kick off March 4. This year\u2019s theme is CSI: Wright State<\/em>. As evidence of the many opportunities that faculty and staff gifts provide to students, Foster will present case stories throughout the campaign of how Wright State students are making an impact across the campus and community.<\/p>\n

For the upcoming campaign, Foster encourages everyone to take a look at what they gave last year and consider giving just a little bit more to the university\u2019s more than 1,600 scholarships and program funds.<\/p>\n

While she cannot predict whether 2013 will be another record-breaking year for CSIC, Foster knows she can always count on the generosity of Wright State\u2019s faculty, staff and retirees.<\/p>\n
