{"id":22167,"date":"2013-06-18T11:58:32","date_gmt":"2013-06-18T15:58:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=22167"},"modified":"2013-06-18T16:58:21","modified_gmt":"2013-06-18T20:58:21","slug":"womens-tennis-program-honored-by-ncaa-for-academics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2013\/06\/18\/womens-tennis-program-honored-by-ncaa-for-academics\/","title":{"rendered":"Women\u2019s tennis program honored by NCAA for academics"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_22169\" style=\"width: 270px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2013\/06\/18\/womens-tennis-program-honored-by-ncaa-for-academics\/tennis\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-22169\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-22169\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-22169\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2013\/06\/tennis-260x146.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"146\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-22169\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The NCAA has recognized the women&#039;s tennis program for its players&#039; academic success.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Wright State University women&#8217;s tennis program has been recognized by the NCAA for its Academic Progress Rate (APR) with a perfect score of 1000, marking the fourth straight year that it has received this honor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Overall, our student-athletes have stepped up and performed admirably through the years despite hours of practice and games as well as the pressures of being a college student-athlete,&#8221; said Wright State Deputy Director of Athletics Roderick Perry. &#8220;This sustained success demonstrates our firm commitment to the student-athletes as students and people who will become a valuable part of our community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each year, the NCAA tracks the classroom performance of student-athletes on every Division I team through the annual scorecard of academic achievement known as APR.
